Fortson to Serve as Georgia360 Ethics Officer
3/5/2010
We are pleased to announce that attorney and firm member Rob Fortson will be filling the role of Ethics Officer at Georgia360 effective immediately.
Given the increasingly complex nature of public policy advocacy and ethics rules governing that advocacy, Rob will help further sharpen the firm’s already strong focus on complying with both the letter and intent of federal, state and local ethics rules. In addition to tracking internal compliance and regularly auditing the firm’s business practices, Rob will serve as a resource for firm members and clients on specific ethics questions.
A recent addition to Georgia360 from the law firm of Alston & Bird, Rob Fortson brings the sophistication of a big firm legal practice to the regulatory and government relations issues facing Georgia360’s clients. Rob’s areas of expertise include education, legislative and regulatory law, governmental relations and labor & employment. He has served in a variety of roles in and around federal, state and local government, including stints in the legal counsel’s office at the U.S. Department of Education and the Georgia Municipal Association and a two year clerkship for U.S. District Court Judge Thomas W. Thrash.
